External Metadata

All of the movie and TV show metadata (titles, posters, seasons, etc.) is sourced from The Movie Database (TMDB).

Watchlist uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.

To add missing media or to correct inaccuracies for data, please use TMDB’s website (you’ll need to create an account in order to make edits). Changes to data on TMDB will be visible here within a few days.

Imports

Normally, Watchlist will automatically handle importing data from TMDB whenever necessary (e.g. if you search for a show or movie that we do not have in our records). However, if you cannot find what you're looking for via search and would like to force an import, you can use the following URL scheme:

https://mywatchlist.co/tmdb/{type}/{id}

Replace the {type} with either 'movie' or 'tv', depending on what you're importing. Replace the {id} with the TMDB ID.

This will force an import from TMDB into Watchlist if it does not already exist in our records.
